2026 PRE-SHOW SEMINAR
There will be a two-day course with Master Carver Brad Atchison from Victoria, BC of “Seals in a Seaweed Garden” (adult & pup) on Thursday & Friday, April 9-10, 2026, 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM. The cost is $275, which includes wood seal blanks, base, paints and other materials. The course will be at the Shelly Hall Centre, 186 Shelly Road, Parksville, BC. The course is limited to 8 students and is open to all skill levels. Brad Atchison is an award-winning wood sculptor and master woodcarver who competes at the Expert level and judges at many carving competitions. Brad’s carving subjects mostly reflect his passion for biology and ecology. Reserve your spot by March 1st (contact Bill Beese or 250-802-8075).
TALKS & DEMONSTRATIONS
There will be short talks and demonstrations on various art, carving, lutherie and woodworking topics at the QB Civic Centre throughout the show. All are free. Participants will be given a schedule in their entry package and there will be signs and announcements advertising these events.
